I forgot to categorize this one!

What’s going on here, eh?!

Dear CanLit Romance fans;

Did you know I’ve got an Events section to my website? And that I offer a newsletter featuring those event listings?

You do now! If you want to sign up for the newsletter right now before you read on, here’s the linky link: https://dashboard.mailerlite.com/forms/883580/117424214225454781/share

The Events listings exist for one simple reason: someone said to me, “I wish there were events happening in my area,” and I thought, ‘there are!’. And I realized that I’m one of the only people who knows what’s going on across Romancelandia, Canada, because I’m one of the few people actively looking for that information. Who else looks for info about events they aren’t going to?! Make it make sense? Okay!

What really made sense was a newsletter. Now you can have those event listings delivered directly to your inbox every month. I’ll talk about literary citizenship another time, but for now suffice to say you can’t attend an event if you don’t know it’s happening.

What’s in this newsletter? So glad you asked.

First you get the latest event listings, so it’s prudent to click the Events link in the newsletter header and have a look at the whole thing in case you missed something.

Next I include some fun or interesting things related to CanLit Romance authors or readers, the Index, and what I’m reading. Feel free to reply to those and talk to me about the content, or let me know about an event, or tell me what you’re reading. Every expansion of the CanLit Romance ‘habitat’ (someone said it’s an ‘empire’, but I think they were roasting me), happened because someone said to me, “I wish there was…”.

Finally, at the very bottom of the newsletter, and in a few spots on this website, there is a ko-fi link where you can donate $2 to help me cover the costs of website fees if you so desire. I sincerely appreciate the funding assistance, but please note that I don’t charge fees for anything, so don’t feel like you can’t afford to list with me; it’s all complimentary. This is a passion project above all else.

Is there something you’d like to see in the newsletter?

Is there an event I don’t have listed?

Do you know of a CanLit Romance author who isn’t on the Index?

Do you offer a publishing or marketing service charging in Canadian dollars for authors that is Romance-friendly and should be on the resources page that I also have on the website?

Contact me!

Thanks for reading all the way through! I appreciate you so much.

Sincerely covered in maple syrup,

Catherine
CanLit Romance

P.S. Here’s that ko-fi link I mentioned earlier.
