Set In Stone is Set In My Keeper Shelf

#CanLitRomanceReads2022

Set In Stone by Lynn Camden

Dear Reader,

The way I smashed “Add to Cart” when I saw the body-diverse romantic snuggle in the snowy illustration that covers the, well, cover of Set in Stone.

Had. To. Have. It.

I don’t think I even read the synopsis until after I’d paid! And my impulse buy was well worth it because Set in Stone is now nestled lovingly on my keeper shelf, and in my heart. A sweet and steamy tale of love and anxiety. A beautiful book about romance and self respect and gentleness and compassion and memorably hot sex scenes.

And hugs and cuddles and HUGS AND CUDDLES. And more hotness. And feelings and communication! Evie and Aaron are my heart. There’s even some menstruation care and that, dear Reader, is my slice-of-life readerly catnip. That, and tea-making. Which I think happened here as well, but oh no I can’t remember SO I MUST READ IT AGAIN OH DEAR!

Set in Stone landed in my lap at just the right time, when I needed some tender loving care; which it turns out is also what Evie and Aaron needed. Good thing they found each other on that cold wintery night in a bar on the Canadian prairies.

Lynn knows that I’m clamoring for whatever she writes next. I can’t wait! But I must. Until then, I’ll just keep re-reading Set In Stone.

Love and blueberries,
(like, I know it’s winter in this book but I just think of my mother and her friend picking wild blueberries in Manitoba and then seeing a bear doing the same shortly after and, thus, I think of the prairies),
